Luke 1:1-4
Dwain Tissell
15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15 (TNIV)
1 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. 3 With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. Luke 1:1-4 (TNIV)
1. BE PRACTICAL
6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6 (TNIV)
Q: PRACTICALLY SPEAKING, HOW WOULD MY LIFE BE DIFFERENT WITHOUT JESUS?
2. KEEP IT REAL.
Q: HOW IS MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS REAL ME?
5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:5 (TNIV)
3. THINK BACK.
4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Colossians 4:4 (TNIV)
Q: WHAT ARE THE HOW, WHY, AND WHO GOD USED TO REACH ME?
4. TELL YOUR STORY OUT OF LOVE.
Q: WHAT'S MY MOST FELT EMOTION WHEN I MEET SOMEBODY WHO DOESN'T HAVE JESUS TO HELP THEM IN LIFE?
2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Colossians 4:2-3 (TNIV)
