Ephesians 3:1-13
Dwain Tissell

12This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Ephesians 6:12 (MSG)

THREE QUESTIONS THAT HELP YOU KNOW HOW TO LIVE THE ADVENTURE OF GOD'S PRESENCE

1. ARE YOU HAVING FUN?

8Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, Ephesians 3:8 (ESV)

32In one way or another, God makes sure that we all experience what it means to be outside so that he can personally open the door and welcome us back in.
33Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It's way over our heads. We'll never figure it out.
34Is there anyone around who can explain God?
Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do?
35Anyone who has done him such a huge favor
that God has to ask his advice?
36Everything comes from him;
Everything happens through him;
Everything ends up in him.
Always glory! Always praise!
Yes. Yes. Yes. Romans 11:32-36 (MSG)

2. ARE WE A PAIN IN THE NECK TO THE DEVIL?

9and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, 10so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. Ephesians 3:9-10 (ESV)

18Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. 1 Corinthians 3:18-19a (ESV)

3. ARE YOU FREE?

11This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. Ephesians 3:11-12 (ESV)

9For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. Colossians 2:9-10 (ESV)

14by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. Colossians 2:14-15 (ESV)

11In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, Ephesians 1:11 (ESV)
