FINDING LOVE IN A PORN WORLD

Ephesians 5:15-21

15So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 18Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 20And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit... v. 18b

1. THE INNER VOICE KEEPS YOU SAFE IN YOUR SEARCH.

...singing...making...giving...submitting... v. 19-21

2. SUBMISSION ENERGIZES INTIMACY WITH YOUR LOVES.

5In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for
"God opposes the proud
but favors the humble."
6So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 1 Peter 5:5-6 (NLT)


13For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. 14For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:13-14 (NLT)

 


5You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
6Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
7Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave

3. JESUS GIVES YOU COURAGE TO PURSUE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS.

Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man, 7and Potiphar's wife soon began to look at him lustfully. "Come and sleep with me," she demanded.
8But Joseph refused. "Look," he told her, "my master trusts me with everything in his entire household. 9No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God." ... he ran outside, leaving his cloak...
