Pulay

Reach out and change the world!
Pulay (pronounced poo-LIE) is an indigenous Mayan village in the war-torn mountains of Guatemala. The village suffers from severe poverty and chronic malnutrition, yet has hope for future development. In 2008 our Eastridge family began a partnership with Pulay through Food for the Hungry, to develop the economy and improve living conditions for the families living there... to ultimately break the cycle of poverty in the village.
We're thrilled to be able to serve this community by raising funds and supplies to help them through their development projects, and sponsoring children. Two teams have already traveled to Pulay to work on school construction, water purification, and nutrition. We expect this partnership over the next few years to transform both Eastridge and Pulay!
Child sponsorships

Short-term missions trips
Each year we plan two week-long trips to Pulay to work on improvement projects and spend time with the children. It's a blast! In previous years we have worked with them on a new school building, and helped improve hygiene habits, like toothbrushing and handwashing.
